As the Web Usability Scientist I utilize user interviews, user observations, web analytics, and other usability evaluation techniques to identify areas of the website that need improvement. Based on the analysis, I design solutions to solve usability problems and create wire frames of the new designs. I also implement usability measurement instruments and usability related website improvements using C# in an ASP.NET environment.
As a Senior Software Engineer I implemented website changes and new features for an ASP.NET website using C#. Utilized SVN for source code control, NetTiers as the database abstraction layer, and MS SQL Server as the database.

I was in charge of the software development for MSU's Virtual University where we developed systems to support distance education. One of the major systems was a Web based asynchronous discussion system that supported HTML messages, threading, posting images and files, and access management, among other features.

The Comm Tech Lab develops educational interactive multimedia on CD-ROM and the Web. While with the CTL I worked on three CD-ROM projects the Microbe Zoo, the American Identity Explorer, and the Cancer Prevention Park.

Developed a CD-ROM library of brain slice images for use in neuroscience research and education.

OPN: Systems developed office automation software including document management, e-mail, and calendering. I worked primarily on e-mail gateways between OPN's proprietary e-mail system and other systems.
